USA - Fight fascism, serve the people and build the Party! - Red Guards – Los Angeles

If fascism is correctly understood as capitalism in crisis, as the most reactionary elements of the bourgeoisie and petite-bourgeoisie and their ideological adherents seizing an opportunity in time and politics, then antifascism must mean exposing and confronting these enemies of the people ruthlessly but with highly centralized brutality and sophistication. Historically, this is acknowledged as an anti-revisionist and armed Communist Party. The fascists know this. They know their enemy.
On December 28, fascists are planning a “rally against communism” in Charlotte, North Carolina. And while many are reporting that the fascists – as part of the alt-right movement – have cancelled their plans, citing “security concerns,” communists and other progressives and revolutionaries cannot afford to take them at their word.
We know fascists lie and cheat. We know one of their main weapons is numbers, hoping and organizing for a strong white nationalist majority showing up. A fascist, alone, is a coward, but by the hundreds and thousands he is dangerous. So, too, must antifascists show up outnumbering the alt-right.
The revolutionaries, the Maoists and other antifascists in Charlotte, understand that confronting fascists is but one – albeit important – aspect to the struggle against fascism. Another important component to antifascism is materially serving the people and ideologically by exposing the contradictions inherent in capitalism that give rise to fascism and other attempted distractions of a moribund capitalism. That is why Maoists in the U.S. are not merely tailing antifa or surrendering to its movementist inertia. We are not just showing up in masks punching Richard Spencer or other settler fascists in the face. Maoists in the U.S. are also concretely serving the people, arming the masses with the means of creating an independent and revolutionary self-sustaining structure where the seeds are being planted to create the new proletarian power, the new proletarian state.
Antifascists of all ideological tendencies must grasp this truth: that in order to effectively fight and smash fascism, one must wholeheartedly love and serve the people – not just defensively but in a larger offensive strategy. Antifascists, like Maoists, must not think of antifascism as merely combining serving the people with antifascist confrontational work. No, we have to see antifascism as necessarily connected to serving the material needs of an attacked, exploited and oppressed community. This is what we’re beginning to see here in Los Angeles with our local antifascist chapter of Red & Anarchist Skinheads uniting with Serve the People – Los Angeles at weekly distributions and other joint mass projects.
And, lastly and more importantly, it is to give this revolutionary antifascist project sustainability through a highly centralized militant body, the highest form of a proletarian organization – the Maoist Communist Party – of which the masses, day in and day out, yearn for its birth. While it may be premature as of yet, its day is coming. With more and more Marxist-Leninist-Maoist collectives being built across the country, uniting nationally and building international solidarity networks, with more and more Serve the People organizations being guided into existence by these very collectives, we must organize for a communist victory over fascism.
This is the way to defeat fascism, by serving the people, by building the Maoist Communist Party. Nothing can stop us if we continue onward, with the love, respect and direct participation of the masses.
Red Guards – Los Angeles sends its fraternal greetings and support to Queen City Maoist Collective, Antifascists Charlotte and all the courageous, daring revolutionaries and progressives who will come out on December 28 at 4 p.m. at Marshall Park (near the statue) 800 E. 3rd St., Charlotte, North Carolina.
Long live the antifascists revolutionaries of Charlotte!
Long live Marxism-Leninism-Maoism!
Build the Maoist Communist Party!
