fuck the 150th! - Canada Day Rally - 1th july Revolutionary Communist Party (PCR-RCP)

The Government of Canada spending a half a billion dollars to celebrate the country's 150th anniversary, hoping to create such a spectacle that people will look past all this and swell with national pride. We won't be so easily fooled.

Join us on July 1st at 4:00 at the North-West entrance of Gage Park (near the parking lot) for a rally and march through the park to expose and denounce this hypocritical holiday and to hear from the people who are fighting to put Canada into the dustbin of history!

Greece - Freedom and Justice for GN Saibaba! Popular Resistance – Left Anti-imperialist Cooperation

The judgement of the District and Sessions Court in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, on March 7, 2017, which sentenced the Delhi University professor and four other activists to life imprisonment, is an unprecedented provocation for any defender of human and democratic rights anywhere. GN Saibaba, wheelchair bound for life, was judged as one of the greatest dangers for India’s security! He is shoved in jail to die there as he is severely ill. The accusation and sentencing was based on ridiculous evidence under the provisions of the draconian Unlawful Activities Prevention Act which criminalizes the ideas and thoughts of militants.
GN Saibaba, was persecuted and tried for his ideas and his actions for the oppressed social masses of India, for his resistance to the war waged by the MNCs and the state forces against the indigenous people. He was tried for his 35-year everyday struggle for the rights of Dalits, national minorities and every oppressed and poor human being. Also for his participation and leadership in the Revolutionary Democratic Front. And for his rich contribution to international solidarity and the anti-imperialist movement.
This judgement is the result of  strong pressure by the Indian government and the reactionary, fascist forces both locally and nationally. His sentence concerns all progressive and social activists in his country and abroad and must be challenged as such by the democratic, anti-imperialist and revolutionary organizations and movements.
The Popular Resistance – Left Anti-imperialist Cooperation condemns this decision of the Indian court. We send our unequivocal support to GN Saibaba, his comrades and the movement of support that grows in India. We demand the immediate reversal of this judgement and the release of GN Saibaba and all the sentenced activists. We declare our resolution to contribute in the development of an international movement of protest in order to save the life of GN Saibaba!

France - Législatives : rejet massif d’une farce électorale PCM france

    9071654lpw-9072035-jpg_4365517

for debate - GB General elections

    Revolutionary Praxis

The General Election has returned a hung Parliament. Labour under Jeremy Corbyn has increased its electoral support and made significant gains in numbers of Members of Parliament. On the surface this seems to have been brought about by opposing austerity. It was clear from the election result that people are desperate to see an end to vicious cuts in public services and the rich rubbing our noses in pay cuts, price rises and poverty. But voting for Labour, however left-wing its leaders appear to be, is a product of illusions in bourgeois “democracy” still present among many people. The left openly promotes the illusion that Labour can be the saviour of the working class and that it can end capitalism. It is a fundamentally dangerous and defeatist illusion.
Most of the small left-wing organisations in Britain called for a vote for Labour. The Trotskyist ones, such as the Socialist Workers Party and the Socialist Party, openly campaigned for the election of a Labour Government. The ones claiming to be Marxist-Leninist either supported Labour or opportunistically avoided taking up a definite position. Only Revolutionary Praxis and the Revolutionary Communist Group put forward a clear call for people to boycott te electoral farce.

London - GRENFELL TOWER DISASTER: THE PEOPLE TAKE COMMAND!

Following the terrible disaster at Grenfell Tower, North Kensington, London, there has been much criticism and anger about the inadequate response of Kensington and Chelsea Borough Council and the national Government in helping the victims of the fire. A fire in residential quarters on this scale is unprecedented so it is not surprising that the local council's response has been rather inadequate especially given the severe cuts there have been in public services in recent years. However, there is also a very positive side to this tragedy and that is the response of the local people to dealing with their immediate problems.

The surviving residents of Grenfell Tower and other local people did not wait for local council officials to act but immediately started to organise themselves to provide food, shelter, clothing and other necessities for those affected by the disaster. People outside of the immediate area and across the country donated a vast amount of money, food, clothing, bedding and other items for the relief effort. In fact, vastly more donations have been received than can be immediately used. As the local organisation has developed an attitude of resentment and opposition to both local and national government officials has developed for their shortcomings.

    SELF-ORGANISATION

What has been very clearly demonstrated in the area around Grenfell Tower is the capacity of ordinary people to get organised to take care of themselves. Local and national government are rightly being criticised for their failures over many years to put in place effective building and fire regulations. At the same time the creative capacity the local people have shown in helping themselves shows that we do not really need highly paid and privileged officials and politicians to tell us what to do, to “manage” our lives for us. We are quite capable of getting our own act together.

    INTERNATIONALISM

The multi-ethnic and multi-national character of the residents of Grenfell Tower and the surrounding area is very noticeable. Many are refugees from conflicts in countries where British imperialism has played a part in creating disorder and chaos, e.g. Syria. This in no way prevented these people working together with white British people to relieve the suffering. This instance shows that the efforts of racists and fascists (including Islamic fundamentalists) to stir up hatred between different ethnic and national groups in Britain will ultimately fail. Human beings have a natural affinity to co-operate with each other but this is often disrupted by reactionary elements acting in their own interests.

    TOWARDS SOCIALISM

In the capitalist system in which we live the energy and creativity of most people is severely limited by the oppressive and exploitative structures in which we are trapped. Both in work and in the wider society we are constrained by complicated bureaucratic organisations whereby sizeable layers of “managers” try to control us so as to maximise our economic exploitation for the benefit of the tiny capitalist ruling class. The apologists for capitalism claim that society would descend into chaos if it were not for the efforts of the directors and managers to keep our noses to the grindstone.

The people's response to the Grenfell Tower incident shows that this claim is a lie and that we are perfectly capable of leading our lives effectively and efficiently without a lot of bosses telling us what to. Tragic as it is, the people's response to this disaster shows that socialism leading on to communism is not some unrealistic fantasy but a real possibility arising out of the everyday capacity of human beings to freely work together in ways which enhance our lives.

50th anniversary of naxalbari's uprising in Manipur

The Maoist Communist Party Manipur successfully commemorated the 50th Naxalbari uprising at all the newly established Revolutionary villages (Yawol Khul) of Manipur. Details of the uprising and the movement

for the liberation of the revolutionary masses were discussed in depth with the local participants at the functions. It is being organized as an International contingent of World proletarian Revolution as per  resolution adopted by Maoist organizations in solidarity with the peoples War in India.  Mention may be made that the since the beginning of this year 2017,the MCPM has been making a huge stride and putting a relentless effort in establishing the five "Yawol Khuls" and we strongly believe and have faith in the public that we will be able to establish more "Yawol Khuls" in the days to come, spreading the message of liberation. With a determined effort by our party Red cadres & working in tandem with the political cadres, we have a strong belief that by the month of July of this year, the people of Manipur will definitely see some visible a landmark in the history of the liberation struggle of Manipur. Indeed the exclamation of Comrade Lenin "The Revolutionary Storms in the East" is true to the core in our land, Manipur. Our Homeland is endowed with a fertile revolutionary mind and all we need is only a right grooming in the right direction of the liberation movement. The MCPM is also aware of the wariness of the middle & the ruling classes, who with their "Bourgeoisie Education" opposes the class & liberation struggle. But with an appropriate "walk the talk" liberation agenda of the MCPM, we believe that these opposing classes will soon see the light at the end of their dark tunnel of pseudo liberalism under occupation. The Manipur Maoist also understands that the opposition to the liberation movement by some of our own people is due to the infringing activities against the law of liberation by some of our own state actors who masquerade as "Yawol-Lois". The MCPM truly and sincerely hope to revamp the liberation movement of our Nation, bringing a change in the history of the liberation struggle of Manipur, with a firm faith that other "Yawol-Lois" will encourage (nurture) us and hoping that the people of Manipur will rise in unison one day & bringing a change not only Manipur but to the whole of the liberation struggle of south Asian sub-continent. The MCPM convey to the Indian Maoist their best wishes in their struggle to free the oppressed class from the clutch of the Indian hegemony. The MCPM affirming the "Unity of Struggle" strongly believes that one day we will defeat the common "Imperialist India".

The MCPM affirming the "Unity of Struggle" between Manipur and Indian Maoist strongly believes that one day we will defeat the common "Imperialist India".

India - Talks with Comrade Malina by ‘Outlook’ - The next front

Deep inside the forests of Bastar, reticent Maoist commander Hidma chose to send one of his deputies to speak with Outlook. Claiming to be a Gond, Malina, who is a functionary of the Jagargonda Area Committee, appeared with three armed guards while the dreaded Battalion One lurked nearby. She spoke to Ushinor Majumdar. Excerpts:
    ——————————————————————————————————————-

‘Rape  Victims  Have  No Clue  About  Legal  Proceedings’ :  Com : Melina

What do you have to say about the April 24 killings at Burkapal? Eventually the road will bring welfare for the villagers.
The issue was not the road, which we do not object to. It is the policemen who are unwittingly working for the corporates and eventually the roads will be a path to torture villagers. As revenge for attacks by the PLGA, the police are now detaining and torturing scores of innocent villagers.
But you too kill the villagers mercilessly…
When we receive credible information about villagers passing information to intelligence agencies or the police, the party convenes Jan adalats. There, the people—including other villagers—decide their fate. First they are counseled, but if they do not change ways…
    Many are leaving your fold…
There are many fake surrenders here; the police parade ordinary villagers as surrendered  commanders. During summers, villagers migrate to Telangana, Andhra and other places to work as coolies or with the mirchi seths (chilli merchants). The police and the DRG go in civvies to those villages, drag the villagers to their stations here and claim they are members of the militia.
Many from the PLGA have joined the police.
Some have, like Hari Ram of Chenna Bodkel, Mangu, Shankar, Ganesh…quite a few of them who worked as party members, but they were not all militia. These traitors left the party, joined the police and come back with the cops to assault and torture villagers.
Without roads and development, a generation of tribals will also not be educated.
The Jantana Sarkar runs its own schools, where the medium is Gondi though other languages are also taught. Those who study till Class 8 or 10 also become teachers at local schools. I too learnt to read and write at such a school. We were also taught about leaders like Marx, Lenin.
Shouldn’t you allow the district administration easy access here for development work?
Doctors, journalists…nobody is allowed to come in here because of intimidation by the police. Take [Podium] Panda’s case. He was a sarpanch and never worked with us, but was free to travel anywhere. We don’t use sarpanches to run errands.
Despite their poverty, you take money and rations from the villagers…
We take taxes, but they are a limited amount and not collected by force. It is the public’s party, so they voluntarily pay what they can. The public also gives us food and other items because we are working for them.
You have made several claims about security personnel sexually assaulting women…
Even during the recent incident at Raiguda, the security men tried to drag a woman into her house but she resisted and hit them back. So, the others stopped the men. That’s what the villagers told us.
Do they approach the police to complain?
There was a minor who was raped, but when she approached the Chintagufa police station to complain, she was arrested for filing a false case. So nobody goes to the police any more; there are no hospitals here. They don’t understand your legal system; so how will they wait to go to a hospital for tests to prove rape? Security personnel come in large numbers. Who knows which one of them sexually assaulted a woman?
Are fresh recruits joining the PLGA?
There are two or three recruitments each year. We train them. They are also taught about the public’s problems and how the party’s ideology will be used to deal with these.
Your area of influence is decreasing. Do people follow your ideology?
We observed the 50 years of Naxalbari [uprising] between this May 23 and 29. Ours is a protracted war. It will spread from village to village, district to district. From Naxalbari to Srikakulam to Chhattisgarh, it has been a long road that is not going to end soon.

for debate - A new book by Amit Bhattacharyya

    Storming The Gates Of Heaven
The Maoist movement in India is one of the longest surviving communist revolutionary movements in the history of the world. Born in 1967, has been able to withstand state brutality for so long and rose like a phoenix from the ashes time and again implies the existence of some deep-rooted socio-economic needs that the existing system has failed to satisfy. Today, every protest is identified with ‘Maoism’, every dissident voice is being branded by the powers-that-be and sections of the corporate media as ‘Maoist’. ‘Maoism’ in India has, for good or bad, been identified with the fight for dignity, justice and human values.
This is a modest attempt at the first-ever comprehensive history of the movement made by a professional historian.  This movement is not the tale of senseless violence,  but an epic story to create a beautiful world free from exploitation,  greed and bloodshed altogether.  Hitherto untapped material has been used to analyze the bitter struggle between MCC and CPI(MLI Party Unity and CPI(MLI People’s War and the formation of the CPI(Maoist).  Its impact on society,  culture and historical study,  Bhojpur struggle role of woman warriors with entirely new approaches to man-woman relationships radical mass organizations.  Emergence of Maoism and the pro-people development model in Dandakaranya have been discussed in detail.  This movement,  successful,  is likely to make a deep impression everywhere in India and abroad.
